SUPECONDUCTING MAGNET SYSTEM

F-CSBS-10

Compared with metal magnets, superconducting magnet systems make it possible to obtain much more powerful magnetic fields. However, superconducting coil magnets tend to be large and complicated in general. In this system, bulk high-temperature superconductor is placed inside a small cylindrical unit and is connected to a small cryocooler. It is then cooled by being placed in strong magnetic field made by a separate magnetizing apparatus. The magnetic flux will be trapped inside the bulk. Take out the cylindrical unit outside of the magnetizing apparatus, and this cylindrical unit can now be handled similarly as a permanent magnet.

FEATURE
Magnet part is small and compact, easy to handle.
Strong magnetic field.
Able to limit the magnetic field generation space to a narrow area.
Easy to approach the magnetizing object from various directions.
